モンゴル国立医科学大学と日本モンゴル病院を訪問し、医療指導とセミナーを開催

令和５年８月６日（日）～８月11日（金）、九州大学病院の内視鏡医・外科医・放射線医・病理医・腫瘍内科医・臨床工学技士が日本モンゴル病院を訪問し、視察と医療指導を行いました。この「モンゴル国における消化器疾患診療の人材育成」プロジェクトは医療技術等国際展開推進事業として九州大学が実施しており、今年が２年目になります。
モンゴルの滞在期間中、外科医と内視鏡医は現地医師とともに手術や治療を行いました。日本モンゴル病院で初となる胃腫瘍に対する腹腔鏡内視鏡合同手術も実施し、その様子はインターネットを通じてモンゴル国内にライブ中継されました。病理医は診断の指導だけではなく検体作成の指南や講演なども行い、放射線科や腫瘍内科では患者データをもとにした活発な議論や指導を実施しました。臨床工学技士は手術や内視鏡で用いる医療機器の取扱いやエラー対応などの説明を行い、多くの現地スタッフが熱心にメモを取っていました。現地指導の最終日には胆膵領域のロボット手術、胃癌に対する化学療法、胃癌診断におけるCTの有用性について、当院の専門家によるセミナーも開催しました。
８月９日には中村病院長をはじめとする当院スタッフがモンゴル国立医科学大学を訪問し、学長や医学部長、附属病院長との会合が実現しました。交流の強化や遠隔医療教育の普及など、今後に向けた活発な意見交換を行い、大変有意義な時間となりました。
現在、日本モンゴル病院と地域病院の医師・IT技術者5名が当院にて1ヶ月の研修を行っています。
Visiting the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) and the Mongolian-Japan Hospital (MJH)
From August 6 (Sun) to 11 (Fri), 2023, Kyushu University Hospital staff specialized in endoscopy, surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, and clinical engineering visited the MJH to observe and provide medical guidance. This is the second year of the project, “Human Resource Development for Treatment of Gastrointestinal Diseases in Mongolia” being implemented by Kyushu University as a project for promoting international health cooperation with the National Center of Global Health and Medicine.
During the stay in Mongolia, surgeons and endoscopists performed surgeries and treatments together with local doctors. The first Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Cooperative Surgery for gastric cancer was performed at MJH and was broadcast live in Mongolia via the Internet. The pathologist not only provided diagnostic guidance but also gave lectures and instructions on specimen preparation, while the radiologist and the oncologist engaged in lively discussions and guidance based on patient data. The clinical engineer explained the handling of medical equipment used in surgery and endoscopy and how to respond to errors, and many Mongolian staff members took notes enthusiastically. On the last day, a seminar was held by our specialists on robotic surgery in the biliopancreatic region, chemotherapy for gastric cancer, and the usefulness of CT in the diagnosis of gastric cancer.
On August 9, hospital director Prof. Nakamura and other staff members visited the MNUMS and had a meeting with the President, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Directors of the affiliated hospitals. It was a very meaningful time with active exchange of opinions for future collaborations, such as strengthening human exchanges and expanding telemedicine education.
Currently, 4 doctors and 1 IT engineer from Mongolia are undergoing one-month training at Kyushu University Hospital.
