At Kyushu University, numerous researches are being conducted to reduce greenhouse gases and realize a carbon-neutral society. Professor Toshihiko Takemura of the Institute of Applied Mechanics highlights the necessity to reduce air pollutants and greenhouse gases simultaneously. Moreover, the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research conducts researches contributing to low-carbon emissions and energy systems construction with high efficiency. A project proposed by Kyushu University, Development of Global CO2 Recycling Technology towards “Beyond-Zero” Emission (Project Manager: Shigenori Fujikawa, the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research, Kyushu University), is adopted as a research project of Moonshot Research and Development Program.
