On October 9, 2024, Times Higher Education (THE), a British higher education magazine, released the World University Rankings 2025. The overall ranking was determined by their methodology, which assessed five key areas: education, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook. As in the previous year, Kyushu University was ranked in the 301-350 bracket out of 2,000 institutions from 115 countries and territories, placing seventh among Japanese universities.
In particular, Kyushu University received high evaluations in the industry area due to its number of patents and industrial income.
Kyushu University will continue to pursue high-quality education and research and contribute to society in cooperation with various stakeholders.
