Welcome back, alumni!
We’re delighted to announce the Kyushu University Academic Festival & Homecoming Day 2025.
A variety of events will be held at the Ito Campus, including lectures (with English simultaneous interpretation available for online streaming) and networking gatherings for alumni.
On the same day, the university festival “Kyudaisai” will also take place.
We warmly invite you to visit the Ito Campus and experience the vibrant spirit and current activities of Kyushu University.

There will be English simultaneous interpretation for the online broadcast of the lecture.

Venue name：Lecture room # 2403, Center building 2 / Online / others
Seating capacity：80 people, in order of arrival *No limit on capacity except for the Homecoming Day Party.

10:00–11:00 Federation of Alumni Associations of Kyushu University General Meeting -Invitation only

11:15–12:45 Homecoming Day Party (with light refreshments) -Alumni only

13:00–14:00 Lecture -Open to everyone!
Lecture Title:“Dinosaur Extinction Caused by Asteroid Impact and the Evolution of Life”
Speaker: Dr. Honami SATO, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science, Kyushu University
♪Simultaneous English interpretation will be available for the online streaming.

In addition, the Challenge & Creation Midterm Presentation will be held.

As this event coincides with the Kyudaisai (Kyushu University Festival) on November 1–2, visitors can also enjoy a variety of student-organized programs, including tent booths and stage performances.
