\u3000The rapid integration of AI and algorithmic management into workplaces is fundamentally transforming traditional labour law systems and industrial relations. This symposium examines these crucial changes through a comparative analysis of the UK, EU, and Japan, with a specific focus on the evolution of workplace control and its implications for workers’ rights and trade union functions.<\/p>\n

\u3000A highlight of the symposium will be a groundbreaking discussion by Prof. Taiki Todo (Faculty of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University) and Prof. Takehiro Ohya (Legal Philosophy, Keio University), who will examine the fundamental disconnect between algorithmic human management technologies and existing legal frameworks. Their algorithmic systems and legal philosophy expertise offer unique insights into this critical intersection.
