This faculty aims to address various global social issues, including SDGs, in our increasingly complex and diverse global society. Through collaboration with diverse individuals, it seeks to integrate different perspectives and academic insights, envision solutions together, and work in coordination to create something new.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post_col post_col-2\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/sdgs.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/kanri\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/color_your_world.jpg\" alt=\"\u30dd\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\u753b\u50cf\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" style=\"float:right\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\nThe Collaborative Course is a required course for second-year to third-year students in the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation, aimed at developing thinking methods, attitudes, and skills for working in groups with people of diverse knowledge, skills, perspectives, and backgrounds to examine issues and consider systematic solutions for the future.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThere are two projects in the Collaborative Course: the Project Basic for ISI and the Project for ISI. Through these projects, students have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about social issues related to SDGs from an academic perspective.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe past topics are as the followings.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Project Basic for ISI-<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Disaster Mitigation and Resilient Society<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #FE9A2E;\"><font color=\"white\">11<\/font><\/span><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #FF8000;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff19<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>Combining data science and practical thinking to develop an action plan for preparing for natural disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rainfall.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Thinking about Sustainable Developmental Goals from viewpoints of water and food issues<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #58D3F7;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff16<\/font><\/span><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #DBA901;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff12<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To contemplate food and water issues from multiple perspectives, including communication, biology, environmental science, and economics.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Multilingual and Multicultural Education In Japan<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #08088A;\"><font color=\"white\">17<\/font><\/span><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #B40431;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff14<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To contemplate the current state and issues related to the establishment of a multicultural and multilingual coexistence society in Japan, as well as the acceptance of international students. <\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25a0Designing the world of intelligence \u2013 from the viewpoint of artificial intelligence \u2013<\/strong><\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #FF8000;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff19<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To contemplate the creation of an &#8216;world of intelligence&#8217; that extends human activities through artificial intelligence technology. <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Project for ISI &#8211;<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Communication in Collaborative settings<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #08088A;\"><font color=\"white\">17<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To contemplate potential issues and solutions related to communication in the context of collaborative problem-solving.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Explore food production from a perspective of spirited brinjal farmer<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #DBA901;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff12<\/font><\/span><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #3ADF00;\"><font color=\"white\">15<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To consider the challenges of food production from the perspective of a local brinjal farmer.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Creating a &#8220;Forestation and Forest Utilization Business Plan&#8221; for building a society in harmony with nature: As a case study in Fukuoka Area<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #3ADF00;\"><font color=\"white\">15<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>Referring the &#8220;Fukuoka City Comprehensive Plan for Agriculture and Forestry&#8221;, consider about the future image using the forecasting \/ backcasting methods and create  a business plan (scenario) that will contribute to the realization of the &#8220;ideal future image&#8221;.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Scientific exploration of mental health issues<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #088A08;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff13<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To understand the pathophysiology and pathology of mental disorders, including conditions related to mental health and developmental disorders, and to contemplate what kind of relationships are desirable for individuals and those around them in community life, schools, workplaces, and other settings from the perspective of mental health.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Debates on politics and language<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #08088A;\"><font color=\"white\">17<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To explore complex and controversial issues facing the international community in the 21st century and engage in constructive dialogue and debate.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0How to manage public goods<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #FE9A2E;\"><font color=\"white\">11<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To contemplate how to effectively manage public resources related to global environmental issues originating from parks and forests.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Qualitative Research on Mental Health<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #088A08;\"><font color=\"white\">\uff13<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To approach the question of &#8216;How do people experience the challenges of mental health and how do they interpret those experiences?&#8217; using qualitative research methods.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Society in the 1920-30s Japan<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin; border-style: solid; background: #045FB4;\"><font color=\"white\">16<\/font><\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>To study the social issues in Japan during the turbulent period of the 1920s to 1930s, marked by significant changes in socioeconomic and political aspects, as was the case in many other countries.<br \/>\n<br \/><strong>\u25a0Application of Big Data and Math Modeling to Social Issues<\/strong><span style=\"border-width: thin;
