On August 19, 2024, a delegation led by President Tatsuro Ishibashi visited Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) to sign an inter-university exchange agreement. Vice President Professor Koichi Akashi, who also serves as the Dean of the School of Medicine, attended the ceremony with six other faculty and administrative staff members.
Mongolian-Japanese Hospital affiliated with MNUMS and Kyushu University Hospital have been engaged in exchange activities since 2019. Kyushu University Hospital’s International Medical Department, a hub for medical care, education, and research, promoting internationalization in Asia and beyond, plays an important role in these collaborative efforts. Both hospitals are also cooperating on the “Project on the Global Development of Medical Technology,” hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Additionally, President Damdindorj Boldbaatar of MNUMS visited Kyushu University in March 2024, leading to the successful conclusion of the inter-university exchange agreement. We aim to further deepen and strengthen the partnership between the two universities.
