ISI online short-term program “Sustainable meat and food production and consumption in the world”

The program was organized by Associate Professor Mako Nakamura (School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation (ISI) / Faculty of Agriculture) and took place from December 8, 2021 to January 19, 2022. The program aimed to understand the current situation of sustainable food and meat production and consumption, which is directly related to climate change. The content of the program is related to three of the 17 SDGs: “2) Reduce Hunger to Zero”, “12) Responsibility to Create, Responsibility to Use”, “13) Take Concrete Action on Climate Change.” A total of 14 ISI students participated in the program, where five lecturers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (U.S.), University of the Philippines, Kafr El Sheikh University (Egypt), and other universities were invited to give lectures, providing valuable learning opportunities and achieving learning outcomes.
